Hilda Janelle Bethany, 90, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022, at Merit Health Rankin.  Visitation will be 1pm until 2pm Friday, April 1, 2022, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS, with the funeral at 2pm in the Chapel of the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park South on McCluer Rd.

Janelle was born in Laurel, MS on November 1, 1931, to Nolan O. Windham and Lule Mae Williams Windham.  Janelle was a very active member of Brandon Baptist Church while her health provided.

She loved to cook for friends and family, work in her flower gardens and crocheting.  She worked as an RN for many years.

Survivors include her daughters, Elaine Harris (Ronnie) and Donna Woodard (Jake); sisters, Joyce Tune (Charlie) and Lucille Robinson; brother, Otis Windham; grandchildren, Carla Boyd and Michelle Malone; great grandchildren, Tatum Woodard, Jordan Woodard, and Aiden Boyd.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Bethany in 2015; sister, Linda Gaskin; brothers, Torrence Windham and Maurice Windham.
