Horace Leon Jenkins, 67, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
Visitation will be from 2 – 5 pm Sunday, January 22, 2012 and 11 am – 1 pm Monday, January 23, 2012 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Richland, MS. Funeral Services are 1 pm Monday from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Richland, MS with burial to follow in Glenwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Richland, MS.
Mr. Jenkins was born in Choctaw County, MS on December 24, 1944 to the late Horace Vernon Jenkins and Flora Dodd Jenkins Graves . He retired from the U. S. Air Force in 1982. He worked in maintenance for the Mississippi State Board of Health for six years. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Curtis Jenkins.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Elizabeth Cook of Richland, MS; Blayze Cook of Richland, MS; his son, Chris Jenkins of Raymond, MS; his daughter, Sharon Jenkins of Meridian, MS; his brother, Charles Jenkins and his sister, Marilyn Graves both of Shalimar, FL; and extended family, Roy and Rita Cook and Alexis of Brookhaven, MS, Ray and Tina Perkins and Michael and Lacey all of Richland, MS, Jason and Alicia Cook and Breanna of Richland, MS, Vicki Williams and Steven and Craig of Richland, MS
