Ian Paul Graham, 29 years old, passed away peacefully August 25, 2016 at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Ian was born in Starkville, Mississippi June 21, 1987.

Ian fought a long and brave battle as a quadriplegic following a motorcycle accident in 2011 where the driver who caused the accident never came forward. He bravely fought to live, overcoming incredible odds and suffering many setbacks. After 2 ½ years away from home in VA hospitals he made it home June 2013. He was very happy being home even though there were incredible life changing events that took place. He met ever challenge with a sense of humor, candor, and love for his family.

Ian served his country proudly, in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany and two tours in Iraq. He excelled in his career and achieved Sergeant by the end of his tour. He explored Europe during his time in
Germany and visited many countries. He loved skiing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his friends and family. He had a plan for his future prior to his accident. He was in college and was in a career path to become a criminologist. He was working on an internship with the FBI.

Ian is survived by his mother, Carolyn Graham; his sister, Brandy Graham; his brother, Nathan Graham; his grandmother, Martha Graham; and many nephews, aunts and uncles.

Ian is preceded in death by his father, Joel Graham; his grandparents, Everette Paul (Buster) and Opal Vaughan and Johnny Graham.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 5 pm until 7 pm, and again Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 1 pm until the 2 pm Chapel Service at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN or Blair E. Batson’s Children’s Hospital, Jackson, MS.
