Ila Ruth Davis Martin, age 76, of Brandon, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2018 at Brandon Court. Nursing and Rehab.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am Monday, December 17, 2018 at Brandon Baptist Church with visitation starting at 9:00am until service time. Graveside services will follow at 2:30pm at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS

Ila Ruth was born in Hickory, MS to the late Ralph Deming Davis and Annie Myrtle Everett Davis on October 18, 1942. She was a member of Brandon Baptist Church and worked for the Clarion Ledger, Delta Airlines and Avanti Travel prior to retirement.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Bruce Davis and William Davis.

Ila Ruth is survived by her husband, Lamar Martin, daughter, Wendi Joyner (Steve) all of Brandon; sisters, Rose Harrison (Tom) of Newton and Carolyn Barnes of Pearl; three grandchildren, Emilie Powers, Mary Clark Joyner, and Brian Joyner; other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Brandon Baptist Church Building Fund.
