Imogene Williams “Genie” Turner, 89, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Friday, August 4, 2017 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday, August 7, 2017 at Fannin United Methodist Church in Fannin, MS. Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:45 am at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mrs. Turner is the daughter of Grover Williams and Myrtle Walton Williams. She was married to Hudson Turner. Mrs. Turner was a member of Fannin United Methodist Church. She was a School Teacher/Counselor at Jackson Public Schools for many years before retiring. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hudson Turner; daughter, Marianne West; parents, Grover Williams and Myrtle Walton Williams and her brother, Charles Williams.
Mrs. Turner is survived by her granddaughter, Jennifer (Delwin) Wallace; great grandchildren, Ian Nelson, Max Nelson and Kalen Wallace; nieces, Ruby Witt and Lou Brooks; dear friend, Helen Huff; numerous great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. She was adored by everyone who met her.
