Imogene Husband Pryor

March 26, 1920 — February 21, 2012

Imogene Husband Pryor, age 91, a lifelong resident of the Homewood community, died Tuesday February 21, 2012 following an extended illness.


Funeral services were conducted at 11am Thursday from the chapel of the Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Forest with interment in the Homewood Methodist Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5pm to 8 pm Wednesday February 22, 2012.
Rev. Gary Wayne Phillips and Rev. Lester Miles officiated the services.


Mrs. Pryor was born March 26, 1920 to H.I. Husband and Mamie Moore Husband in rural Smith County. After finishing high school, she met and married Dr. Allen ”Cotton” Pryor. They were married for over 70 years before he passed away in January of 2011. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, a homemaker, wonderful mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.



She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 3 sisters, Inez Aaron, Joyce Cockrell and Sylvia Thornton.



Survivors include 2 children, Sandra Chisholm (David) of Mize, Gary Allen Pryor of Homewood, 1 grand-daughter, Leah Craft (Garland) of Raleigh and 1 great grand-son, Jesse Craft also of Raleigh.



Pallbearers were Robert Hallman. Bobby Paul Tadlock, Prentiss Wayne Moore, Coley Harold Boykin, Kellen Burns and Woody Burt.


Funeral services were provided by Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Forest.
