Ina Holloway Bullock, 95, passed away Thurs. Feb. 11, 2021 at the Lakeland Nursing & Rehab Center in Jackson, MS. There will be a private family service with Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS handling arrangements.
Mrs. Bullock was born on Oct. 25, 1925 in Carriere, MS to the late John Milner Holloway and Lula Pearson Holloway. She was the sixth child of ten children.
Mrs. Bullock held many responsible positions during her career. The last three were as Personnel Administrator for Zurich Insurance Company, the Mississippi Health Care Commission and the State Fire Academy.
Mrs. Bullock loved her Lord and Savior. She was a founding member of Brandon Baptist Church and prior to her going into Assisted Living, was an active member of her ladies Sunday School class. At Castlewood's Place she looked forward to their Sunday worship services.
She is survived by her two sons, C. Mark Bullock (Janet) and Paul Wayne Bullock (Melissa); two sisters, Betty Barber and Shirley Hopes; five grandchildren, Nathan Scott Bullock, Joel Mark Bullock, Sarah Ruth Hickner, John Paul Bullock and Christopher Bullock; 7 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bullock is also preceded in death by her former husband, Willie Clyde Bullock; sister, Daphne Card and six brothers, Pearson Holloway, Carl Holloway, Arthur Holloway, Ray Holloway, Keith Holloway and Dale Holloway.
The family would like to express our appreciation to Jean Hayes, Lavon Overby, Ron and Henrietta Clay and other friends and neighbors for their loving attention to Mrs. Ina. They drove her to Dr. appointments, hair appointments, the grocery store, and to Church on many occasions before she entered Assisted Living. They also took her out to eat and prepared meals for her. We would also like to recognize and thank the staff at Castlewood’s Place, Lakeland Nursing and Rehab, Dr. Kim Tarver and Home Care Hospice for their loving and competent care of her during her illness.
Memorials may be made to Brandon Baptist Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
