Ina H. Welch, 96, a resident of Morton died Monday, October 25, 2010 at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest. Visitation was held 9:30am-10:30 am Wednesday, October 27th at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held at 10:30 am Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with burial in Salem Baptist Cemetery in Lake, MS. Rev. Earl Clark officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Welch is a native of Scott Co. She is the daughter of Hez J. Hollingsworth and Lottie Leona Ott Hollingsworth. She was married to Arvis B. Welch. Mrs. Welch was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Morton and the Adult 5 Sunday School Class. She worked over 30 years for the US Army Corp of Engineers as a Personnel Staffing Specialist.
Mrs. Welch was preceded in death by her father, Hez Hollingsworth, mother, Leona Ott Hollingsworth husband, Arvis B. Welch, sisters, Sadie (Howell) Daniel and Clois Ethel (Weldon) Teague and brother, Travis G. (Ruth) Hollingsworth.
Mrs. Welch is survived by her sisters, Lodena Waldrop of Morton and Jean Garrett of Terry; brother, Jack (Dot) Hollingsworth of Kalem; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Bus Fund, 80 Church St., Morton, MS 39117.
