Miss Erika Dakota Phillips, age 6 weeks passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at her residence in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be Friday, September 9, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton and again on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 9:00 am until 10:45 am. Funeral service will be on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11:00 am from the Ott and Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Morton with Rev. Harold Schmitt presiding. Interment will be held at the Parkway Baptist Church Cemetery in Morton.
Miss Erika was born to her parents, Erik Russell Phillips and Patricia Burkes Phillips on July 25, 2016 in Flowood, MS. Her family shared that Erika was a very happy baby and smiled a lot. She also knew who her momma and daddy were. She brightened up everyone's life that saw her and she really brightened up her grandfather's life. Everyone loved her greatly and she was loved very much by her sister and family.
Erika is survived by her mother and father, Erik Russell Phillips and Patricia Burkes Phillips; her sister, Nevaeh Faith Burkes; her Maternal Grandparents, Brenda and Bill Turnage; Paternal Grandparents, Russell and Lynette Phillips; Maternal Great Grandmother, Delean Aldridge; Paternal Great Grandfather, Glenn Claypool; Maternal Uncle, Ricky Travis White; Paternal Aunt, Taylor Phillips.
She is preceded in death by her Maternal Grandfather, Douglas (Pee Wee) Burkes; Paternal Grandmother, Tammi Gail Phillips; Maternal Great Grandfathers, Eugene Aldridge and Ted White; Maternal Great Grandmother, Pattie Jean Lott; Paternal Great Grandmothers, Clara Claypool and Sarah Phillips; Paternal Great Grandfather, Phil Phillips.
Serving as a pallbearer will be her daddy Erik Russell Phillips.
