Iva Lavada Rogers was born in the Forkville community of Scott County on September 14, 1942. She passed away on September 20, 2019 at the MS Care Center of Morton at the age of 77.
Mrs. Rogers was a retired waitress who enjoyed reading, playing dominoes and cards, and sewing in earlier years. She held affiliation with the Church of King at Morton.
She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Emma Jane Harvey; one grandson: Jake Miller and eleven siblings.
Survivors include her three children: Milton (Vickie) Chapman of Pearl and Miki (Frank) Miller and Harvey (Paula) Chapman, both of Morton; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life Services will begin at 2 pm on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Church of the King, 4209 Hwy. 80, and Morton, MS 39117. Brother Glen Crotwell will be officiating, and he will share special thoughts from Brother Don Cannon.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Blair E. Baston Hospital, 2500 N State St, Jackson, MS 39216.
Ott & Lee Funeral Home, 3555 Hwy. 80, Morton, MS assisted the Rogers family in planning service details.
Floral deliveries may be made to the funeral home by noon on the day of the service.
