Funeral services for Mr. Jack Rogers will be conducted at 1 pm Friday, November 25, 2016 from the Cross Roads Church of God with Bro. Delbert Latham and Bro. Sam Atkison officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindsey Cemetery at Walnut Grove under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Visitation will begin at 4 pm on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the church.
Jack Rogers was born at Morton on February 2, 1983 and passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian at the age of 33.
He was a lifelong resident of Scott County. Jack lived life to the fullest, and faced it head on with a “spur of the moment” attitude, with a witty and jovial spirit about him. He will be remembered as a man who loved his family, especially his children. Fishing was a favorite past time. At the time of his death, Jack was employed at King Lumber Company in Forest. He was a Pentecostal by faith.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Rayford & Christine Page; his paternal grandparents: Opal Laverne & Earline Rogers; and one nephew: Jacob Christian Rogers.
Survivors include his two children: Brianna Rogers of Morton; and Derek McDaniels of Siloam Springs, AR; his father: James (Debbie) Rogers, Sr. of Forest; his mother: Lisa (William) Chamblee of Edinburg; two sisters: Kristi Lynn Sistrunk of Walnut Grove and Dejah Renee Lofton of Forest; and four brothers: James Amos Rogers, Jr. Jacob Alexander Rogers, Heydun Triston Rogers, and Andrew Seth Rogers, all of Forest; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers will be James Rogers, Jr., Jacob Rogers, Austin Sistrunk, Robert Carter, Phillip Wagner, and John Wagner.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Zach Turner and Brandon Rogers.
