Visitation: 2-4pm Sunday, August 17, 2014, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS Jacob W. (Bill) Schmidt, Jr. Brandon, MS Jacob W. (Bill) Schmidt, Jr., 59, unexpectedly passed away at home on Friday, August 15, 2014 and went to be with the Lord. Visitation will be Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 2 until 4 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Bill was born on November 1, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Jacob William and Dorothy Marie Marler Schmidt. He worked for Fresenius Medical Care for over 26 years as supervisor of building maintenance and construction. He had been a resident of the Brandon area since 1988. He was very family oriented and loved his family very much. He was a hard worker and loved boating and being on the water. He had a unique ability to communicate, making everyone comfortable and always enjoyed joking with those he was around. He had been attending Pinelake Church. Survivors include his wife of eleven years, Angela Schmidt of Brandon; three children, Jessica Schmidt of Birmingham, AL, Meghan Schmidt and Gillian Schmidt both of Brandon, MS; two step sons, Matt Parker (Rachel) of Flowood, MS and Addison Parker of Laurel, MS; three sisters, Rose Aebel of St. Louis, MO, Debbie Lenny (Noel) of King of Prussia, PA, and Sandy Schulte (Carl) of Troy, IL; three step grandchildren.
