James Barnes

James E. Barnes, 90, a resident of Clinton, MS, passed away Sat. April 15, 2017 at the G. V. Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 10am on Mon. May 15, 2017 at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS with Rev. David Allen officiating. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling funeral arrangements.
Mr. Barnes was born in Pulaski, MS to the late Robert Fulton Barnes and Ida Elizabeth Barnes. He served his country in the United States Navy and retired in 1989 from the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Barnes was also a mason.
He is survived by his grandson, Branden James Barnes and his close friends, Marcus and Tori Patterson. Mr. Barnes is also preceded in death by his sister, Etta Elizabeth Rowzee and a brother, Robert H. "Bobby" Barnes.
