James Vardaman Greer Jr., 91, passed away on Sat. Feb. 1, 2025 at home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Tues. Feb. 4, 2025 from 12pm-2pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm on Tues. Feb. 4, 2025 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS. Graveside Services are 4pm on Tues. Feb. 4, 2025 at the Old Crystal Springs Cemetery in Crystal Springs, MS.

Mr. Greer was born on Aug. 9, 1933 in Crystal Springs, MS to the late James Vardaman Greer Sr. and Maggie Welch Greer Wade. He was a welder and logger and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Greer is survived by his wife, Phyllis Greer; 7 children, Lynn Hailey, Ricky Greer (Pam), Randy Greer (Sue), Juanita Wade, Stacie Buckley (Walter), Alex Wade Jr. (Monet), Carrie Queen (Rusty); sister, Faye Deluass and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Harvey Greer and 3 sisters, Audrey Ward, Ann Ward and Betsy Lee.
