James Grimes

James Archie Christian Grimes, 76, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024.

Visitation will be Monday, June 3, 2024 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon from 1:00pm until 3:00 pm, with a memorial service following in the chapel at 3:00pm.

Mr. Grimes was born August 29, 1947, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joyce and Lemual Grimes.

He leaves behind his children, Jaime Purl, Shawn Grimes, Kelly Simpson, Adam Grimes (Abigail), and Erin Grimes; grandchildren, Bailey Pitts, Jackson Pitts, John Simpson, Jude Simpson, Aidan Grimes, Conner Grimes, Molly Grimes, Bentley Grimes, Finley Grimes, Uri Squires, Zana Squires, and Bronx Squires; and his siblings, Susan Grimes, Patricia Stanfield, and Phillip Grimes.
