James Burton Kern, 65, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Monday, December 20, 2016 at home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mr. Kern was a native of Hinds County and was the son of Burton Daniel Kern and Mae Ellene Weems Kern. Mr. Kern work for Thermo King in maintenance from many years. He loved music (playing his harmonica), old movies and riding his motorcycle. He loved his family and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Kern was preceded in death by his parents, Burton Daniel Kern and Mae Ellene Weems Kern.
Mr. Kern is survived by his sister, Brenda (Jeff) Cox; his brother, Charles Kern; seven nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
