James Ray King, 66, died Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Merit Health River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, MS.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 4 pm until 7 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Monday, May 8, 2017 from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
James Ray King was born on April 29, 1951 in Jackson, Mississippi to the late J. W. and Florence Edith Austin King. He graduated from Pearl High School in 1969 and entered the U. S. Army in 1971. After Basic Training, he was sent to Korea. After he was discharged from the Army, he married his sweetheart, Rebecca Ledlow in September, 1973. He drove a delivery truck for several years, and was a Mason.
James was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Bruce Wayne King on February 17, 2017.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Rebecca Ledlow King of Pearl; two sons, Stacy King and Casey King both of Pearl, MS; a brother, Dennis Lee King of Pearl; and a granddaughter, Zoe Kalista King.
