James Mccrary

James H. McCrary, age 75 and a resident of Magee died Sunday, December 19, 2021, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from the Burns Community Church with Visitation beginning at 9am till service time with interment to follow in the Burns Community Church Cemetery,  Reverend Daniel Jackson will officiate under the direction of OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest.

Mr. McCrary was born on August  10, 1946, in Louisville, KY to his parents, Francis McCrary and Olene Collins McCrary.  He was a self-employed truck driver.  He was a member of Burns Community Church.  He loved his family, visiting with friends, and spending time outdoors.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Bob McCrary, and a sister Sonja Luckey.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia McCrary of Magee, 4 children; Teresa Wedgeworth (Keith) of Burns, Ed McCrary of Magee, Houston McCrary (Judy), and Angie Baldwin (Ricky) of Raleigh.  He is also survived by 2 brothers, Joe Collins (Judy) and Hue Collins all of Meridian.  Mr. McCrary also leaves behind a legacy of 9 grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Tyley Goolsby, Kyle Runnels, Jamis Ainsworth, Kyle Ainsworth, Daniel Wedgeworth, and Philip Wedgeworth.  Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Baldwin and Travis Runnels.
