James Harvey McQuirter, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, September 01, 2015 at Caseyville Manor in Wesson, MS. Visitation is 5-7pm Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Services are 11am in the chapel of the funeral Home with a graveside service following at 2:30pm at Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS.
Mr. McQuirter was born in Winston County on February 19, 1939 to James Harvey McQuirter and Maggie Estelle Ingram McQuirter. He was a member of Killian Baptist Church in Killian, LA and he was an avid gardener, especially loving flowers. He loved to go boating, barbequing and judging barbeque cook offs. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs.
Survivors include his nephews, Donnie May of Brookhaven, MS and David May of Tennessee; cousins, Gale McQuirter and Tammy Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Virginia Newcomb McQuirter in 2011.
