James Dorman Morgan was born February 17, 1973 at Lackey Hospital in Forest to his parents: James Jerry & Helen Fortenberry Morgan and passed away one day after his 42nd birthday at his home in Newton County, Thursday, February 18, 2016.
A longtime resident of Forest, and most recently a resident of Newton for the past twelve years, James was a truck driver for Arlon Gardner Trucking as long as his health permitted. He enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly his “Angel,” Katelyn and his “Little Man,” James Dylan. He was a good father, who loved his children very much. James’ hobbies included buying machinery, equipment, and restoring old cars. James was known for his love of being a “shade tree” mechanic.
His father, James Jerry Morgan preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Crystal, and two children: Katelyn and James Dylan; his mother: Helen Fortenberry Morgan; one aunt: Flossie Stewart of Pearl; three uncles: Paul Morgan of Sebastopol; Sam Fortenberry of Hillsboro and Yates Fortenberry of Steele; and a host of other relatives and friends.
