James Padgett

James Delton Padgett, 75, a resident of Brandon died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, August 10 , 2015 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with interment to be held in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl. Visitation will be held 2-4 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Rev. Don Williams will officiate the services. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.
Mr. Padgett was a native of Scott County. He was the son of John Welton Padgett and Bertha McMillian Logan. He was married to Audine Stephens Padgett. Mr. Padgett worked for Eaton in the Aerospace Industry 45 years. He served his country proudly in the United States Marines. He was a member of Cross View Baptist Church in Brandon. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Padgett was preceded in death by his parents, John Welton Padgett and Bertha McMillian Logan and his sister, Deborah Padgett.
Mr. Padgett is survived by his wife of 33 years, Audine Padgett; children, Tracey (Jim) Ridderbos, Sonya Cothern, Lisa Whittington and Kay (David) Shelton; sisters, Sandra Russell and Tina Padgett Dubreuil; brother, John “Buddy” Padgett; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
