James Rankin

James Arthur Rankin, age 66, a resident of Meridian, formerly of Forest, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at the University Medical Center in Jackson following an extended illness.

Mr. Rankin was born on Saturday, October 4, 1952, to his parents,  Rasberry  White and Inez Morrow White in Forest, MS.   He was a truck driver, employed by RES Trucking Company of Laurel.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his 4 children; Christopher Rankin of Morton, Samantha Rankin of Meridian, Kimberly Jones of Forest and Rickey Rankin also of Forest.  Other survivors include  2 brothers,  Tommy Rankin and Ray Gardner, both of Forest,  2 sisters, Mary Charlene of North Carolina and Cassandra Hooks (John) of Brookhaven.  He also leaves legacy of  11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

The family will announce a Memorial Service at a later date.
