James Shotts

James Earl Shotts, 58, passed away Sat. Feb. 12, 2022 at the Select Specialty Hospital Belhaven Campus at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. Feb. 18, 2022 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm on Sat. Feb. 19, 2022 at the Salem Cemetery in Cato, MS.

Mr. Shotts was born in Mendenhall, MS on June 25, 1963. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go deer and turkey hunting. Mr. Shotts enjoyed cooking out and spending time with family and friends. Most of all he was a loving father, grandfather and family man, who will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Kellie Thomas (Justin); two grandchildren, Aubree Lynn Thomas and Evan Thomas; parents, Gene and Zena Mae Shotts; sister, Brenda Shotts and two brothers, Daniel Shotts (Trish) and Norris Shotts (Ouida).
