James Stewart

James Alton Stewart, age 72 and a farmer and a resident of the Leesburg community passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 at his home.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm and continue until 1:45 pm on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Thursday in the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Jack Stewart will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Leesburg Church of Christ Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Stewart was a member of the Leesburg Church of Christ who loved listening old music, in particular, blue grass. He loved his family very much.

He is preceded in death by one son: Johnny Stewart; his parents: Jessie J. Stewart and Florence Bowman Powell; one brother: Bobby Stewart and one sister: Kathy Smith.

Survivors include one daughter: Amanda (Aaron) Moore; four grandchildren: Joseph Huff, Aimee Huff, Anthony Huff, and Katelynn Huff; two sisters: Sharron (Johnny) Peeples and Brenda Usry; and one brother: Roger (Sandra) Stewart; and a host of other family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Boykin, Joseph Huff, Anthony Huff, Jocob Weimer, Austin James, and Cecil Ballard.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott &Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
