James Douglas (Doug) Ming 50yrs gained his wings on Sunday, August 8 in Flowood.  Born in Starkville, MS he was the youngest son to Charles D Ming and Martha R Mayes.  He was a graduate of Brandon High class of ‘89, from there he went into his lifelong calling as an EMT/Paramedic of 30+ years, graduating top in his class.  Those that knew him, knew Doug loved his family, both personal and work.  Doug had a love for life with some of his favorite things being hunting, fishing, trips to the mountains with Linda and just living in the country and enjoying life. He found enjoyment in their small garden, helping his bonus aunts and cousins and cutting everyone’s grass. Also, let’s not forget his non- paying comedian job.  Always a joke to tell or prank to pull.  Doug could and would light up any room he entered with love and laughter.  Missed by many, loved by all.

Preceded in death by his dad, Charles D Ming, Doug leaves behind his wife of 27 years Linda Ming, daughter Katelin (Francis) Perrault and son Cameron Ming.

Siblings: Angie Springer, Charlie (Christina)Ming, Kimberly (George) Haydu, mother: Martha R Mayes, mom: Kay Ming; mother-in-law: Sue Matthews, brother-in-law: Keith Matthews, sister-in-law: Susan (Steve) Kirby, nieces: Kayla Robinson, Alison Ming, and Shelby Haydu; nephews: Chas Robinson and Matthew Ming; great niece Kara Robinson, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends that he loved dearly.

Visitation - Wednesday Aug 11, 4-8pm at Ott & Lee Brandon

Service - Thursday Aug 12, at 11am with visitation prior to service at McLaurin Heights Baptist Church
