James Edward “Couge” Harrell, 63, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, at his home. Visitation is 5 – 9 pm Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS. Services are 2pm Wednesday, April 17, 2013, in the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS. Interment will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery. Rev. James Leon Stuart will officiate the service.
Mr. Harrell was born in Scott County on December 29, 1949 to the late James Darwin Harrell and late Annie Dora Lingle Harrell. Couge retired from MDOT after 20 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Polkville and a member of the Masonic Lodge at White Oak. He was an outdoors man that loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed taking care of his pets.
Survivors that will remember Couge: sister, Beverly (Terry) Lyle of Morton; brother, Ronnie D. (E.D.) Harrell of Pearl; one nephew, J.W. Herring and Aunts, Uncles and many friends.
