James Gene Weston, 76, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2015 at Brandon Court Nursing Home in Brandon, Mississippi. He was laid to rest in a private service at Crestview Memorial Gardens. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon handled the arrangements.
Jim was born on November 4, 1938 in Los Angeles, California to Joel and Florence Weston. He lived most of his life in California and received an Associate of Arts degree from Los Angeles Valley College. Jim was a retail manager for a pharmacy for over thirty years before retiring to Cookeville, Tennessee in 2006. Jim was a resident of Rankin County since 2010. In his leisure time, Jim enjoyed playing cards, reading, and watching sports on television especially football and tennis. Jim had artistic talent and loved to draw and paint as well. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and wit.
Jim is survived by his sons, Randall (Lynn) Weston of Brandon, Steven (Lori) Weston of Brussels, Belgium, and Todd Stellhorn of Redlands, CA and his daughters Monica Weston of Hernando, MS, Kimberlee Weston of Abilene, TX, and Donna Stellhorn of Aliso Viejo, CA. He is also survived by his sister, Karen Myer of Corona, CA, six grandchildren, Aime, Autumn, Justin, Jarod, Holden, and Madison as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Diana Roldan.
