James Regan Crosby, 55, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, MS. Visitation will be 3pm until 6pm Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and 12noon Monday, November 28, 2011 until the 2:00pm service in the chapel. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
Jim was born in Philadelphia, MS on September 23, 1956 to James Melvin and Sara Jones Crosby. He graduated in 1974 from Pearl High School. He loved to play baseball and golf and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jim was President of Campbell Creek Hunting Club and President of Sandy Hill Hunting Club and a member of Rack and Spur Hunting Club, Rankin County Wildlife and National Wild Turkey Federation. He was also a lifetime member of NRA and a member of the Associated Builders and Contractors.
Survivors include his wife, Gaye Crosby; daughter, Cassie Crosby; parents, Melvin and Sara Jones Crosby; sister, Kay C. Phillips; brother, Melvin Bradley Crosby; and many nieces and nephews. Jim will be missed by many friends and loved ones.
Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church or First United Methodist Church of Brandon.
