Pete Martin, age 56 passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at his home.  Visitation will be held 5-8pm Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Services will be held 2pm Sat., Oct. 13, 2018 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Merchant Cemetery.  Bro, Paul Sistrunk and Bro. Gary Walton officiated the services.    Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Pete was born on Dec. 16, 1961 in Hinds County.  He loved riding his motorcycle and playing pool with his friends.  Pete was an avid football fan.  He cheered for the Cowboys and Saints.  Pete loved old music and loved to dance to it.  His big smile and cheerful heart will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Martin; 1st mother, Cassie Austin Martin; 2nd mother, Mary Fortner Burkes; father, James T. Martin Sr.; son, Michael T. Fowler.

He is survived by his children, Lena Fowler, Memory Windham, Christopher Rutledge, Thomas Dwayne Fowler and Christina Fowler; sisters, Rita Ellis and Suzanne Powell; grandchildren, Nicole Dykes, M.J. Fowler, Jarad Dykes, Navaeh Dykes, Aiden, Aubree, Axton, Ace, Ava Mae, Savannah, Emily, Adam, Bethany, Kaisen, Rhylon, Gabe and Anthony Thomas; special friend, Cat White  and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Donnie Register, Tyrone Stowers, Howard Nick, David Mobbs, Ronnie Barrett and Curtis Hudson.  Honorary pallbearers were Chris Dukes, Donald Ellis II and Charles Ellis.
