James Ronald "Ronnie" Johnson

James Ronald “Ronnie” Johnson, 35, passed away Tues. Feb. 14, 2017. Visitation will be held on Fri. Feb. 17, 2017 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and on Sat. Feb. 18, 2017 from 10am-10:45am at Pinelake Church in Brandon, MS. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Sat. Feb. 18, 2017 at Pinelake Church in Brandon, MS.
Ronnie was born in Tupelo, MS and has lived in Brandon, MS since 1999 where he was a member of Pinelake Church. He was a graduate of Shannon High School in Shannon, MS and also graduated in 2003 from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. While at Millsaps, he was on the tennis team, was a student athletic trainer for the football team, and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. In 2009, Ronnie co-founded the Lithic Company. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, wake boarding, and just being outdoors.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Mandy Johnson who he married in 2005; a son, Noah Johnson; mother, Debbie Owens Johnson; father, Phillip Wayne Johnson (Sarah); grandmother, Rose Owens; sister, Melanie Johnson and his mother in law and father in law, Ray and Linda Michael. Ronnie is preceded in death by his grandparents, James Owens and Kirby and Lorene Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Blair E. Batson Children’s Cancer Clinic at 2500 N. State St. Jackson, MS 39216.
