James (Jim) Thomas Robinson, 62, of Pelahatchie died June 21, 2017 after a battle with cancer. He was the oldest son of David and Nell Robinson. He graduated from Brandon Academy and from there went to Mississippi State University.
In 1981, Jim married the former Terri Stevens of Pelahatchie. They have three children.
Jim worked as a dairy farmer alongside his family until 1988 when he became a full time Certified Chimney Sweep. Jim loved what he did and treasured each of his customers.
Jim enjoyed horseback riding, riding his motorcycle, teaching Sunday school, and going on mission trips to Mexico with his home church, Shiloh United Methodist Church.
Jim is survived by his wife Terri, and their three children, Melissa Shanks and her husband Ray, Brent Robinson and his wife Kristen, and his favorite child, Dr. Leslie Robinson. He was also survived by four grandchildren Madison Shanks, Hunter Robinson, Engil Shanks, and Ella Carter Robinson. Jim also leaves his parents, David and Nell Robinson, his siblings, Linda Powe, Joe Robinson, Bob Robinson, Alan Robinson, eleven nieces and nephews and 3 great nieces and nephews.
Those who knew Jim at all would surely understand, that at this time, he be remembered for the way he lived, not the way he died.
Visitation will be at Ott and Lee in Brandon Saturday from 5:00-7:00 with the funeral being held at Shiloh United Methodist church in Pelahatchie at 2:00 Sunday.
