Mrs. Jane Denson, age 62, a resident of Ludlow passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held 5-9pm Thursday, June 21, 2012 from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services will be held 2pm Friday, June 22, 2012 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in the Ludlow Cemetery. Rev. Gary Lawson will be officiating the services. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mrs. Denson was born in Smith County in 1949. She enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers. Jane also loved to sew and do some traveling. Jane worked as a Veteran Service Representative at the VA Regional Office in Jackson, MS for 30 years. She loved her family and grandchildren very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Troy W. Traxler and Rachel Ann Dilmore Traxler; sister, Becky Neal; brothers, Charles Donald and Paul Traxler.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jim Denson of Ludlow; children, Richie Denson (Andrea) of Ridgeland and Jim Denson of Ludlow; sister, Rena Wood (Marvin); brothers, Jack Traxler (Carol) and Edward Traxler (Jackie); 5 grandchildren, Adam, Will, Janey, Anna and Bailey Denson and a host of friends.
Pall bearers will be Neal Wood, Scott Sellers, Mike Pruitt, Andy Daniel, Trey Glaze, Tim Powell and Donald Barrett. Honorary pallbearer will be John Latham.
