Jane Pitre

Jane Whittenberg Pitre, 77, a resident of Brandon, MS died Monday, June 20, 2016, at Regency Hospital in St. Dominic Hospital on Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Saturday June 25, 2016, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with interment to be held at Lakeland Place Garden Park Cemetery in Flowood, MS. Visitation will be held from 4 pm until 8 pm Friday, June 24, 2016, and from 1 pm until 3 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.

Mrs. Pitre was a native of Van Zandt, County, Texas. She was the daughter of Robert Edgar Whittenberg, Sr. and Mary Jane Claire Whittenberg. She was married to David Andrew Pitre. Mrs. Pitre was a homemaker and loved caring for her family. She enjoyed the NBA sports and reading. She will be remembered by her family as an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Pitre was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Edgar Whittenberg and Mary Jane Claire Whittenberg and her siblings.

Mrs. Pitre is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Andrew Pitre; children, Paul and his wife Pamela Pitre, Beth and her husband Lewis Smallwood and Andy Pitre; eight grandchildren, Alli Pitre, Meagan Clatworthy, Joshua Pitre, Rudy Pitre, Bradley Pitre, Lilli Pitre, Tyler and Shelby Smallwood; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
