Mrs. Janell Phillips, age 84, a resident of Brandon passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Castle Woods Place in Brandon.  Visitation will be held 10:30am-12:00pm Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Services will be held 12pm Saturday at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Piney Grove Cemetery.  Rev. Nathan Phillips will officiate the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Phillips was born in Rankin County on December 11, 1934.  She enjoyed gardening and harvesting her vegetables.  Janell and her recently deceased husband, Opal loved traveling and going on vacations.  Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye and she will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Opal Phillips; parents, Sidney Phillips and Erma Phillips; siblings, Agnes Stegall, Percy Phillips and Charlie Phillips.

She is survived by her children, Randy Phillips of Pearl and Lisa Phillips of Brookhaven; brother, Paul Phillips of Arkansas; 2 grandchildren, Rev. Nathan Phillips and wife, Caroline and Mitchell Phillips; 3 great grandchildren, Emma, Barrett and Amet Phillips; and a host of friends.
