VISITATION: 12:30 P.M. - 1:45 P.M. THURSDAY PRIOR TO FUNERAL
Mrs. Janette P. Haralson was born in Newton County on September 16, 1922 and passed away October 28, 2014 at the age of 92.
She was a lifelong resident of this area, residing most of those years at Conehatta.
Mrs. Janette was a wonderful seamstress, and a dedicated member of the Conehatta Quilting Club and Conehatta Development Club as long as her health permitted. She loved Conehatta Baptist Church and served there, where she was the Sunday School secretary for many years and a faithful member of her Sunday School class. She was the correspondent for “Conehatta News” in the Newton County Appeal for 40 years. Her greatest joy in life was her granddaughter, Sara. She will be missed by those who knew her and her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
She is preceded in death by her husband, C.T. Haralson, who served his country during World War II, and her parents: Henry & Laura Jane Gibbon Puckett. Four sisters and three brothers also precede her in death.
Mrs.Janette is survived by her daughter: Sue Lynne Hollingsworth, and her husband, Harold of Vicksburg; and one granddaughter: Sara Gray and her husband, David, and one great- grandson: Harrison Gray, all of Davidson, N. C.; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are: Charles Scoggin, Raymond Hollingsworth, Ronnie McKinley, Jeff Mitchell, Jonathan Puckett, Logan McDonald, Gerald Puckett, Joseph Jordan, Kyle Jordan, and Lucas Jordan.
