Janette Cook Yount Morton Mrs. Janette Cook Yount, age 61, a resident of Morton passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at her residence. Her visitation was held 5-9pm Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton . Funeral services were held 2pm Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Morton Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Bro. Jeff Taylor and Bro. Brian Goss officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Mrs. Yount was born in Scott County on October 15, 1954. She loved cooking and having the whole family together. Janette enjoyed working in her flower beds. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Worship Center in Pulaski. Janette loved her family very much and held a special place in her heart for her granddaughter, Saylee, also known as Tootle. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. She is preceded in death by her father, Louis “Bud” Cook; son, Jodie Earl Yount; grandchild, Jodie Leeannah Yount; sister, Ann McMullan and brother, Eddie Cook. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Lester Earl Yount of Morton; son, Shannon Yount and wife, Karen of Morton; granddaughter, Saylee Yount of Morton; mother, W. Marie Cook of Brandon; sisters, Sherry Langley (Kenny) of Brandon and Bobbi Martin (Jack) of Ocean Springs; special friend, Adrian Hunter; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Jimmy Craig, Luke Craig, David Yount, Greg Yount, Ken Yount and Rex McCrory. Honorary pallbearers were Pete Porter, Mike Bailey and Rex Hart. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
