Janice Yvonne Goldman, age 72 and a resident of Pelahatchie, died Friday, February 28, 2020, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30pm Sunday, March 1, 2020, from the Crossroads Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. John Vaughn will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm Saturday, February 29, 2020, at OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Morton.
Janice was born on Wednesday, November 5, 1947, in Neshoba County to her parents, Lloyd King and Neola Sherman King. They later moved to Rankin County. She was a teacher assistant at Pelahatchie Elementary School. She and her family were active members of Crossroads Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mom, and grandmother. Janice had an unusual sense of humor. She loved to laugh, make others laugh and was always being mischievous. She loved her family, friends and especially liked to help those in need. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James King, and her husband, Kermit Goldman.
Survivors include her son, Jeff and his wife Lori, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and a special niece, Debbie Young.
Pallbearers are Jacob Bowman, Daniel Wheat, Jordan Worrell, Ronnie King, Butch Varner, and Ronnie Joe Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads Baptist Church 104 Crossroads Road Pelahatchie, MS 39145
