Visitation: 5-9pm Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and Monday 8am-1:30pm at Ott & Lee Morton.
Services: 2pm Monday, August 8, 2011 at Crossroads Baptist Church.
Burial: Crossroads Baptist Cemetery.

Janie Genell Gray, 73, a resident of Pelahatchie died Saturday, August 6, 2011 at home surrounded by her family. Visitation was held 5-9 pm Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Funeral services were held 2 pm Monday at Crossroads Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. John Vaughn, Rev. Ricky Watkins and Rev. R.C. Rice officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gray was a native of Scott Co. She was the daughter of Albert and Wilma Thompson. She was married to Albert “Pep” Gray. Mrs. Gray loved children and some of the most special times was when she was keeping children at East Rankin and serving over 30 years in the nursery at Crossroads Baptist Church. She loved working in her flower beds. Mrs. Gray loved her family and spending time with them brought gray joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Wilma Franklin Thompson, husband, Albert “Pep” Gray and son, Alan Gray, brothers, Merle Thompson and Billy Ray Thompson, and sister, Mary Lee Floyd.
Mrs. Gray is survived by her daughter, Janie Gray of Pelahatchie; sister, Geneva Harrell of Morton; brother, Joe Dell Thompson of Pelahatchie; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Glen Harrell, Vinson Gray, Ronnie Thompson, Danny Gray, Donald Irby, Dale Thompson and serving as honorary pallbearers were Erby Hugh Floyd, Steve Cantrell and Bobby Jack Harrison.
