Jason David Thompson

Jason David Thompson, age 37, a resident of Leesburg passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 from a motor vehicle accident. His visitation was held 5-9pm Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and 9am-11am Wednesday at Leesburg Baptist Church. Funeral service was held 11am Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Leesburg Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Joseph Oster officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.Jason was born in Scott County in 1975. He loved to fish, hunt and watch baseball games. He loved his children and family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnny Thompson and grandmother, Mary Ann Crockwell.He is survived by his wife, Melissa Bryant Thompson of Pearl; father, Johnny Ray Thompson and wife Dot of Pearl; mother JoAnn Crockwell Thompson; 2 children, Amber Thompson (Rooster Stevens) and Austin Thompson of Ludlow; grandmother, Polly Thompson of Leesburg; Grandfather, John Henry Crockwell of Leesburg; sister, Joanna Denise Measells of Leesburg; brothers, Johnny Cos Thompson of Puckett and Kaleb Thompson of Pearl; 1 grandson expected in July, Colton Stevens; 2 step children, Emily and Hunter Herrington and a host of friends. Pallbearers were Kevin Barrett, Mike Buchanan, Dan Berch, Cole Kendall, Brian Blake and Cos Thompson. Honorary pallbearer was Austin Thompson.
