J.E. Steed

James Edward Steed, Jr., age 79 of Brandon, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, with his wife by his side.
A Memorial Service will be Sunday, April 16, 2023, 2:00pm from the chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with visitation starting at 1:00pm.
Rankin County Emergency Operations is deeply saddened by the loss of our friend and retired co-worker, Mr. Ed Steed. Ed served in logistics and response at EOC and was an EMT/Firefighter for Reservoir FD. He was part of the Amateur Radio/HAM Radio Association and truly had a servants' heart. Thank you, Ed, for your service and your friendship. You will truly be missed. Our heartfelt prayers and condolences go out to his wife, Mrs. Vivian, his family and to all of those whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Edward Steed, Sr., mother Bernice Tolleson, and daughter Cindy Alexander.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian A. Steed, son Jay Steed, daughter Melissa Nichols, brother Terry Steed, grandchildren Caitlyn Pitts, Case Alexander, Karley Breedlove, and Corbin Steed.
