Services are 11 am Wednesday, November 17 in the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home Brandon;
Interment: Lakeland Place Garden Park Cemetery in Brandon, MS
Visitation: 5 pm until 9 pm Tuesday and starting 10 am Wednesday


Jeanette Frank Heck, 79, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away lovingly into the arms of Jesus, on Saturday, November 13, 2010, at St. Dominic Hospital after a courageous battle of lung and bone cancer surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, November 16 and 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, November 17, 2010, all at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Interment will follow at Lakeland Place Cemetery.

She was born June 22, 1931 in Bloomington, Illinois to Anthony Frank and Violet Lyons Frank.


Jeanette was married to Ralph Heck, her husband of 51 years. She lived in Lexington, Mississippi from 1973 until April 2010, when she relocated to Flowood. Jeanette was a rural mail carrier for the United Postal service for twenty years retiring in 1997. She enjoyed baking, playing the lottery, going to the casino, watching her favorite TV show Law and Order and spending time with her family.


She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna Frank; and son, Daniel Ferriter.


Survivors include her husband Ralph; son Stephen Ferriter (Cathy) of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, daughter Kitty Goss (Ronnie) of Brandon; stepsons Thomas Heck of Durant, Paul Heck of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Granddaughter Courtney Ferriter of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; Zacharey Goss of Brandon and step-grandson, Justin Heck (Alice) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Brothers Tony Frank (Jeanette), of Lexington, Illinois; Harry Frank (Marge) of Mesa, Arizona; Ivan Frank (Jerry) of Carlock, Illinois; Bill Frank (Jenny) of Mackinaw, Illinois and George Frank (Sue) of Bloomington, Illinois; Sisters Mary Fowler (Walt) of Normal, Illinois; Shirley Peek of Stanford, Illinois and Delores Hinderliter of Bloomington, Illinois; Two sisters-in-law of Farmer City, Illinois and many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.


Pallbearers will be Ivan Frank, Bill Frank, George Frank, Ronnie Goss, Zacharey Goss, and Kevin Champney.


The family would like to extend their gratitude and a special thanks to the following medical providers: Jason Hicks and staff at Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in Ridgeland; Dr. Jimmy Jones, Dr. Michael McMullen, Dr. Nicole Cleveland, and Dr. Eric Balfour, as well as all the staff of St. Dominic Hospital, as well as all the staff of St. Dominic Cancer Center and Hospice Ministries.


The family requests that memorial contributions be made in her honor to one of the following American Cancer Association, St. Dominic Cancer Center or Hospice Ministries.
