Jeffery Wayne Jackson “Jeff” passed away August 24, 2016 at University Medical Center after extended health complications. Jeff had just celebrated his 69th birthday. He was a self-employed owner of Jackson Commodities before retiring several years ago.
Jeff served in the military as a pathfinder and was with the military police. He was an avid hunter his favorite was hunting bear in Alaska. As a car enthusiast he loved collecting cars, the faster the better. He was an animal lover whether it was watching wildlife in the woods or spending time with his many beloved pets. He is preceded in death by parents, Johnny O. Jackson, Sr. and Vera Grace Jackson, brothers, J.O. Jackson, Jr. and Danny Jackson, Sr. Jeff leaves behind his greatest love and devoted care giver and wife of 29 years, Cindy Boykin Jackson, one daughter, Beth Harrison (David), granddaughter, Sarah, brother, David Jackson (Shelia), sisters, Gloria Musgrove (Wayne) and Emily Williams. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation will be 10am to 12pm Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services will follow at noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Siloam Baptist Church in Magee, MS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Diabetes Foundation or American Heart Association.
