Jeffrey Glenn Harden, 61, of Brandon, MS, went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2024.
Mr. Harden was born on December 19, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio, to Barbara and Glenn Harden. The family later moved to Mantee, MS in 1967 where he attended school at Cumberland High School. He was active in sports, playing football, basketball, and baseball. After graduation, Jeff earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Mississippi.
He was active in his church teaching Sunday School, working with the youth, and participating in several mission trips. From 1994-2002, Jeff coached baseball with the Saltillo Athletic Club and the United States Specialty Sports Association Leagues.
Jeff loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and driving the tractor and bulldozer on their family land. A member of Castlewoods Country Club, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing golf with his sons, his “Golf Buddies”, and the Castlewoods Men’s Golf Association.
Jeff was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Alta and Sam Henderson, and paternal grandparents Lorena and Jacob Harden.
He is survived by his parents, Barbara and Glenn Harden of Mantee, MS, sister Amy Childress of Red Banks, MS, wife Terri Jackson Harden of Brandon, MS, two sons Jacob (Brooke) Harden of Plantersville, MS, Marine Corp Staff Sergeant Josh Harden of Saltillo, MS, stepdaughters Laura Beth Jackson of Arlington, VA, and Gracie (Grant) Knight of Woodstock, GA, three grandchildren to whom he was known as “Papa Jeff”, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.
The family would like to thank the Neurology and ICU staff at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS for their outstanding care and comfort during Jeff’s stay there as well as all of our friends and family who have offered incredible support and prayers during this time.
Visitation and services will be Monday, April 29, 2024, at Flowood Baptist Church, with visitation from 9:30-11, and the service following at 11. A graveside service and burial will be held later that day at 3:30 pm at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mantee, MS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mantee Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 161, Mantee, MS 39751.
