Jenny Thompson, 32, beloved daughter of Bebe and Ty, sister of Andrea and granddaughter of Doris McDavid, suddenly went to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ on June 25, 2012. She was born on February 20, 1980 in Jackson, MS.
Visitation is Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
and Wednesday June 27, 2012 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Brandon First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at the Church at 11:00 am and interment will follow in Bogue Chitto, MS. at the Shady Grove Cemetery.
Jenny attended Hillcrest Christian School and graduated from Mississippi College in 2005. While in high school, she was on the homecoming court during her sophomore and junior years and was also voted a class favorite. She was known for her sense of humor and sweet disposition. Although she suffered many years with complications of diabetes, she never complained and always kept a positive attitude.
She was preceded in death by grandfather, Walter McDavid, grandparents Hazel and Quinn Thompson and beloved great aunt Peggy Prassel.
Survivors include parents Bebe & Ty Thompson, sister Andrea Thompson and grandmother Doris McDavid as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Her precious yorkies, Winston and Abbey also survive her.
The family wishes to thank all the many physicians and nurses who cared for Jenny as well as staff at Methodist of Memphis, UMMC and St. Dominic’s Hospital. We also want to send a special thank you to our special angel, Juanita Weathersby, and our Church family at Brandon First United Methodist Church for all of the prayers and many kindnesses through the years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
Be at peace Sweet Angel. We will love and miss you everyday until we are all together again in Paradise.
