Mr. Jerry Gale Crabtree, age 71, a resident of the Leesburg community passed away on February 5, 2017 at his residence. Visitation was held 11am-1:30pm Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Services were held 2pm Tuesday from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Leesburg Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Jerry Holmes officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Jerry was born in Rankin County on November 14, 1945. He loved to read and was proud of his collection of gun, knives and coins. Jerry was known for his sense of humor and joking around. He spoiled and loved his dog, Floto very much. Family was everything to Jerry and he will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Crabtree and Mary Allie Munn Crabtree.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Faye Crabtree of Leesburg; children, Paulette Benefield of Natchez, Tammy Still (Joel) of Leesburg and Sherri Harmon (James) of Pelahatchie; sister, Claudia Brown (Jimmy); brother, Donnie Ray Crabtree (Delilah); 7 grandchildren, Brandon Parkman (Sarah), Bailey Parkman Miller (Steve), Emily Grace Still, Elijah Still, Cody Crabtree (Micah), Kaitlyn Phillips and Jr. Harmon; 8 great grandchildren, Charlie Ann Parkman, Breana Parkman, Jayce Aldridge, Dorian Aldridge, Braden Arbough, Anna Crabtree, Bryson Dorsey and Katie Belle Phillips; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers were Brandon Parkman, Cody Crabtree, Jr. Harmon, Elijah Still, Justin Davis and Donald Crabtree. Honorary pallbearer was Michael Jaynes.
