Jerry Harold Simpson, age 75, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on February 12. Jerry had a no-nonsense exterior and a caring and compassionate interior that will be truly missed. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who valued family above all.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cheri Simpson; children Laura Simpson, Hal Simpson (Michelle), and Brad Simpson (Magda); and grandchildren Alex, Trace, Ethan, Amelia, and Audrey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Syble Simpson, and his brother Terry Simpson. His family rejoices in the knowledge that he is with them in heaven.
Jerry’s love and preference for the outdoors was widely known. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or “piddling”, he found joy and peace in the woods surrounding him.
