Jerry Walton, 60, passed away Wed. Nov. 15, 2017 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Thurs. Nov. 16, 2017 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 10am on Fri. Nov. 17, 2017 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.
Mr. Walton was born in Meridian, MS, was a longtime resident of Pearl, MS where he graduated from Pearl High School and was currently a resident of Clinton, MS. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton, MS. Mr. Walton was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying Ole Miss and New Orleans Saints Football. Mr. Walton loved the Lord. He always took care of people and put others needs before his own. Mr. Walton was a man with a heart of gold and hands of steel. He was a very loving family man and a loyal friend to many.
He is survived by his wife, Merleen Denson Ivey; father, Billie D. Walton; four children, Jeremy T. Walton (fiancé, Morgan Royal); Brooke Ann Walton, Craig Ivey and Benjamin Ivey; a grandchild, Madeline Ivey and a nephew, Danny Ford (fiancé, Jennifer Self). Mr. Walton is preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Walton; two sisters, Susan Ford and Mary-Ann Holmes and a brother, Carl Walton.
