Jerry Wood

Jerry Euel Wood, 82, passed away Fri. July 30, 2021 at his home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Tues. Aug. 3, 2021 from 5pm-7pm and on Wed. Aug. 4, 2021 from 11am-1:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm on Wed. Aug. 4, 2021 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Brandon Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.

Mr. Wood was born on Sept. 23, 1938 in Yazoo City, MS to the late Wilbur “Pete” Euel Wood and Adell Montine Salley Wood. He graduated from Central High School in Jackson, MS and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Draughons Business College in Jackson, MS. Mr. Wood served his country for 4 years with the United States Army. He worked and retired from Regions Bank after 50 years of service. Mr. Wood enjoyed traveling, riding jet skis and watching James Bond movies. Most of all, Mr. Wood loved playing jokes and spending time with his family.

Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Debra J. Wood; two sons, Jason Wood and Anthony Thomas (Rebecca); four grandchildren, Jay Allen Thomas (Cheyenne), Chase Nelson, Jacob Thomas and Alex Thomas; a great grandchild, Nathan K. Thomas; a sister, Sandy McDaniel and a niece, Tifani McDaniel. Mr. Wood is also preceded in death by two sons, Kevin Wood and Nathan Thomas.
