Jesse Robinson

Mr. Jesse Irvin Robinson, age 76 and a lifelong resident of the Pine Ridge community at Lawrence, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 with Bro. Victor Bugg and Bro. Larry Laird officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.

Mr. Robinson was a retired employee of the Illinois Central Railroad who will be remembered for his love of gardening and his strong work ethic. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a faithful member of Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Hubert Elijah and Estelle Thompson Robinson, and two brothers: Howard Glen Robinson and Hubert “Bat” Robinson, Jr.

He is survived by his wife: Carolyn L. Robinson of Lawrence; one nephew: Troy (Lori) Robinson of Melbourne, Fl; two great-nieces and one great-nephew.
