SERVICES: 10 AM THURSDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2010 AT OTT AND LEE FUNERAL HOME IN BRANDON
BURIAL: 2 PM THURSDAY AT MT ZION METHODIST CEMETERY IN NEWTON COUNTY
VISITATION: 5-8 PM WEDNESDAY AT OTT AND LEE FUNERAL HOME IN BRANDON.
Jessica “Kay” Herd Lloyd, 76, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Brandon Nursing and Rehab. Visitation is 5-8 pm Wednesday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home with a 2 pm graveside at Mt Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in Newton County.
Mrs. Lloyd was born in Newton County, to the late Grady and Codie Herd. She retired from Hinds Community College and was an active member of Pearson Baptist Church in Pearl, having joined the church in April 1971. She was a member of the adult choir for more than 30 years and a member of the Homemakers Sunday School Class. Mrs. Lloyd was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby, Sr., her parents and two sisters, Nina Herd and Sibyl Herd Phillips.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Lloyd and wife Susan; two grandsons, Ryan and wife Ann-Hamilton, Casey and granddaughter Jordan, all of Brandon; great granddaughter, Hayes Miller Lloyd; two sisters, Jean Blackwell of Union and Billie LoCicero of Columbia, South Carolina.
